About Abstract

Abstract is a design workflow platform for teams to version, manage, and collaborate on Sketch files. Since launching in July 2017, over 5,000 design teams across 75 countries have adopted Abstract, including teams from Shopify, Cisco, Intuit, Spotify, Salesforce, Instacart, OpenTable, and more.

At Abstract, we are actively working to build a diverse and inclusive organization. Here, diversity includes age, economic class, educational background, ethnic variance, familial status, gender, gender expression, gender identity, marital status, national origin, religious affiliation, sex, sexual orientation, transgender status, or veteran status.

Abstract is headquartered in San Francisco but many of our teams and roles are remote-first (US-based only at this time). If you have a passion for rolling up your sleeves, building new programs, and have a strong, team-player mentality, we’d love to hear from you!

If you have a passion for telling the world about exciting new products and have an interest in UI/UX or marketing design, then this may be the perfect next career opportunity for you.
About You
Abstract is looking for an experienced sales enablement leader with a proven track record of building enablement programs and driving sales effectiveness. We’re searching for someone who is passionate about SaaS products and equipping sales teams with the tools they need to grow the business. The person in this role thrives on working cross-functionally between our marketing, sales and product teams to create compelling customer-facing collateral, playbooks, and training materials. You’ll become an expert in the market, the buyers, how they buy and their decision criteria, and will help transfer that knowledge to the sales and marketing teams. You will also lead strategic efforts to gain a better understanding of the customer as well as our current (and future) competitors.
Ideal candidates will have spent time in their career as an account executive, sales engineer or sales development representative before transitioning into marketing and/or sales enablement roles.
What You'll Bring:
  • Hands on experience creating sales tools, such as decks, competitive analysis, objection handling, FAQ's, and ROI calculators.
  • Experience creating and implementing successful sales process/methodology/sales playbook initiatives, and building effective sales onboarding and sales training programs.
  • A desire to own both strategy and execution for all enablement material and communication.
  • Clear understanding of what motivates a sales team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and thrive in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; enjoys inspiring teams, and excels at relationship building and collaboration.
  • Skilled in extracting meaning from data and using findings to tell a cohesive, easily understood story.
  • Excellent communications skills including presenting, editing, and writing as well as accuracy and attention to detail required.
  • Commitment to Abstract’s core values and demonstrated outstanding character and compassion.
Bonus points if:
  • You have experience with design tools such as Sketch, Adobe suite or InVision.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • 4+ years of sales-focused experience at an enterprise software or SaaS company
Things you’ve done before:
  • Proactively developed plans, written content, rolled out your plans and measured results.
  • Created and managed sales enablement programs and tools.
  • Positioned technical products to non-technical audiences.
  • Translated product features into simple value propositions
  • Demonstrated excellent project management skills.
What You'll Do at Abstract:
  • Plan and execute enablement strategy, owning the plan to ensure that external facing teams possess the skills, knowledge, assets, and processes to maximize every buyer interaction.
  • Deliver sales tools and training and write blog posts, playbooks and other content to drive conversion pre- and post-sale.
  • Perform competitive research and become the go-to resource for competitive knowledge and work tirelessly to inform messaging that differentiates and elevates our solution from the crowd.
  • Sit in on sales and customer research calls to assess the effectiveness of materials.
  • Connect with our awesome customers to write case studies and success stories that drive sales and create advocates.
  • Work closely and build long-term relationships with product, sales, and other internal teams.
  • Develop buyer personas and positioning for our products, defining and establishing the common characteristics of our customer base so we can ensure our product development, sales and support efforts meet their needs.
